Candidates Registered for the CFP Certification Program under Regular Pathway must fulfill the Education Program requirements to be eligible to appear for the CFP Examination. A candidate must complete academic coverage of the Financial Planning curriculum through an FPSB India’s Authorized Education Partner or through “Self Study”. The education criterion is completion of four exams, viz. Exam 1 – 4. This demonstrates to the public that the candidate has acquired the necessary knowledge to become a Financial Planner.

The education requirement prescribed by FPSB India ensures the development of necessary skills and knowledge to become successful Financial Planners. It encourages independent thinking. The modes of Education Partners and Self Study accommodate those candidates who wish to pursue full-time studies as well as those who are working executives to remain in employment or professional practice throughout the duration of study (through distance learning including online programs).

Education Partners

FPSB India has appointed Education Partners to deliver the CFP Certification Education Program to the students. The students need to complete the course of study offered by an approved Education Partner.

The CFP Certification Education Program is delivered by Authorized Education Partners by distance learning, e-learning mode, part time & full time Education Programs. Each of the Education Partners (EP) has their own fee structure for the Education Program ranging from anywhere between Rs. 10,000 to RS. 1, 00,000 depending on the Program the candidates choose. FPSB India advises all CFP aspirants to visit all Education Partners in their city to evaluate and select a Education Program based on the course material, mode of education delivery, classroom intervention, fees & access to expert faculty etc.

Currently FPSB India has more than 34 Authorised Education Partners with over 184 branches around the country. Click here for the list of FPSB India’s Authorized Education Partners

Self Study

The Self Study mode allows a candidate to choose the courseware and study material of his/her choice and study by self. It is on the same lines as courses for many other professional qualifications like Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS) and Cost & Work Accountant (CWA) in India. The candidate has the liberty to choose the best courseware of one vendor while the best classroom facility, training, web support, etc. of some other in order to complete the education criterion in a cost effective manner.
